Grade 4/5: Word Problems
Students were asked to create their own word problems using multiplication and division. These problems were then chosen to be done as a whole class.

Act out a word problem:I would choose an object from the classroom, like pencil crayons. Each group of students would be asked to make a word problem with these pencil crayons. This was first modelled by myself by getting the students to divide the pencil crayons evenly amongst themselves, and we would write the word problem that corresponded to the scenario acted out.
