Past SocietiesThis is a research project where the children were given the opportunity to choose a past society and create a final presentation based on three driving questions that they first formulated themselves, then answered through research and finally will present with a component of "learning by doing" within their presentation.
This project integrated language arts outcomes in that a written component was required, also and instructional component for the "learning by doing" portion i.e. lasagna brought in and how they made the lasagna would be given to their classmates. |

Aboriginal Studies:A teepee was constructed by a student and brought into the classroom. Her three driving questions was answered through the telling of a legend. Information was given in the same manor as how aboriginals traditionally passed on information.
